A couple of weeks ago I wrote about the importance of tracking your website’s visitors and using that information to improve your site and thus conversion rates,etc. I have just come across a brilliant post by Linda Bustos in which she explains some very useful tweaks and tips to improve the collection of stats regarding your website. I found that the most useful tip was that we should used filters to make sure that when we view our site it is not counted as a real visitor! We all check our site’s out to make sure that everything looks correct but that shouldn’t become part of our user statistics! Before reading this article I knew how powerful analytics software was, but now I am totally amazed as to what you can and should be doing!
