I have used oDesk to outsource non-IT jobs (writing, research, administrative duties, etc.) and love it. Mostly because the jobs I post fit better into “pay per hour” than “pay per project”.

Outsourcing the tasks that you’re either not good at or don’t enjoy is a great way to improve your business performance. With those tasks out of the way you have more free time to either focus on the business items that give you the best ROI or to spend time doing things that are important to you.
