Thanks for the good advice!

Like John, I also usually have a few posts in the pipe-line that are completed or half completed that I can just "set free" if I don't feel like blogging on a particular day.

@AP: What a fantastic comment! Thanks for the encouragement and wise words...I agree that it is very early days for this blog and I will continue to work hard at it.

Having some posts saved for a rainy day is also a great idea, it's probably a little easier said than done but I will definitely keep it in mind :)

Thanks again for the great comment.

From what I can gather it is early days for this blog so I would not beat yourself up too much over it. I would certainly not let the competition get you down. It is something that happens to every blogger and all your tips are very useful indeed.

I always suggest that you keep your head up and stay positive about things, you should blog more for yourself than for the reactions you get from others. The rest of us are here to spur you on but you should blog for yourself.

Also, I recommend seizing the moments of inspiration you do have. When I am on a writing roll, I always try and blog ahead of myself. I start posts with a list of key points that I can build on later, I write a couple of posts at a time and I always try and keep on top of things so that when bloggers ballache does hit...I know that I either have a post ready, or at least the frame work for a post. It makes the hard times much easier and that stops me from getting pissed at my own blog!

Hope that makes sense!
