Where the magic happens!
I’m almost always a sucker for checking out photos of people’s work areas. I’m not sure why but I just find it really interesting. With that having been said…here’s mine. Enjoy
You can also check this image out in more detail on Fickr.
My setup is as follows:
- Dell XPS M1530 Laptop (See post)
- Acer 22″ Wide Screen LCD
- Logitech Wireless Keyboard and Mouse
- Creative Inspire T6060
- Seagate External HDD (160gb)
Anyway, I hope you all found that pretty interesting ![]()

Posted on October 24th, 2008 at 2:34 pmI would have to do alot of cleanup to ever post a shot of my work area. It doubles as the home “TV” (for DVDs mostly) so it has alot of “foot traffic” from the two kids. Hmmmm….maybe taking a picture would be an incentive to clean up. Thanks for the inspiration!

Posted on October 26th, 2008 at 2:53 pmHey John,
Funnily enough you have the exact same desk as me. Unfortunately I had to sell it when I moved to Durban (drove).
Why don’t you dual screen your laptop? Put it on the divide on your left side and you maximise your screen real estate. You can then keep your chat, email, tweetin’ and music on the left, and your big screen can be 100% devoted to your code or photoshop.
Just a suggestion? Use it… don’t use it

Posted on October 26th, 2008 at 3:17 pm@Ross: Yeah, I can’t say I haven’t thought about using the dual screen approach, but right now I honestly don’t need to…I will, however, probably need to in the not too distant future!
Thanks for your suggestion and btw I checked out your site and I really like it! Well done
